Examples of Quicksticks Festivals

There are many Quicksticks festivals and taster sessions taking place around the country, varying in numbers of teams, taking on themes and involving young leaders. Festivals can be played on any surface and at any time of year! Quicksticks festivals are easy to organise, especially when you use our useful Festival downloads.

London PE and School Sports Network Quicksticks Festival
16 teams from 10 school in Elephant and Castle took part in a Quickstick Festival just before Christmas (Pictured right).


Elmbridge Schools Quicksticks Festival
Suburban Hockey hosted one of many Quicksticks festivals planned this year. This Year 5 and 6 festival celebrated an Autumn term of free Quicksticks coaching.

Surbiton HC Quicksticks Festival
Over 100 children took part in a Quicksticks tournament at Surbiton HC in January which officially launched Suburban Hockey as a newly registered charity. The children were divided into “10 world cup” teams and competed for their countries. The children were also treated to an expert coaching session from GB hockey star Matt Daly.

Holyrood Academy Quicksticks Tournament
Holyrood Academy played host to 11 teams from it's feeder Primary Schools in a December Quicksticks tournament supported by young leaders.

Yeovil and Sherborne Quicksticks Taster Day
Yeovil and Sherborne HC started the season by inviting 6 Primary Schools to a Quicksticks taster day, introducing 65 pupils to Quicksticks, training the teachers and finishing with a festival including participation medals for all to round off the day.

New Forest SSP Quicksticks Festival
Brockenhurst College hosted the 2nd New Forest SSP Quicksticks festival. A day of fun based around the skills of Quicksticks was led by Brockenhurst students and enjoyed by 60 young players.

West Norfolk SSP Quicksticks Tournament
24 teams entered the West Norfolk SSP Quicksticks tournament in November hosted by Pelicans HC. On hand to congratulate the young players was U18 England player Ella Picton.

 

Barnard Castle School Quicksticks Festival
Barnard Castle School has been working with local Primary Schools over the last half term to help introduce the game of hockey to local youngsters. Thirty young players then enjoyed a day of Quicksticks to showcase their new skills.
