Delivering within your school
The Quicksticks Curriculum Resource and Challenge Cards have been designed for use with primary age children at Key Stage 2. The Resource uses these Challenge Cards to bring a variety of linked activities to children and follows the Key Stage 2 curriculum content and strands.
In the class room
The Units of Work have been designed to teach a class of children. One of the fundamental objectives of the challenges is for children to be active.
Why not use this skills checklist to help monitor class progress.
After School Clubs
Had a great response to Quicksticks during PE lessons? Looking for a new and exciting way to engage pupils outside school hours? Why not set up a Quicksticks TEAM Players club....
‘Together Everyone Achieves More'
Quicksticks TEAM Players is about bringing the Olympic and Paralympic values to life by emphasising effort above outcomes; respect for teammates, opponents, officials and themselves; and commitment to a TEAM. This is why the Quicksticks TEAM Players Club resource have been awarded the London 2012 Inspire Mark.
We encourage all Quicksticks players to be TEAM players, therefore we have created a TEAM player certificate to allow you to recognise and reward pupils who exhibit:
• a great work ethic
• fantastic commitment
• sportsmanship
• enthusiasm
Use the lesson plans or mix the challenge cards to create your own fun activities. Setting up a Quicksticks TEAM Players club at your school is easy and everything you need is available to download below:
